I've been wearing my Dr. Martens 8053 black almost everyday for work since 2005. They still have tons of
life in them, and are beyond comfortable even after all these years. The key is using the DM bees wax cream on them to keep the leather soft. Best shoes I've ever owned.

I been wearing Dr.Martens here in America since the 1990's and I purchased them due to the fact they are made in England. I have been lucky to own and buy the English made ones since like the 1990 which i still like own. This past year which i knew they have ship the production to China. Sorry to say it hit or miss with Quality...they are some differences. Nothing against China...but Dr.Martens has a line Made in England and I
purchased them because they are made in England...

China has come a long way in the last fourty or so years. I vividly remember when the only things made in China were very cheap plastic toys and they were a joke! Today things are very different with help and investment from the west. Hundreds of branded goods are now "Made In China". But some things should be left alone, like DM's. It just ain't the same product and has far less appeal when made anywhere else but England. Levi's, Nike, and Fender Guitars should be
"Made In America". USA, UK !
